Black is king
You know when I read psalms and meditate on why David was so successful, part of the reason is that he usually asked God for direction. I don’t recall a time when he ever went out to war and did not ask God what he should do and whether he should go.
Yet, black is king is fraught with lines like we are gods, and the in the jungle there’s no bible. Now, going off the Bible, if we, a people, are our own gods and lead our way through war on our own, will we be successful?
Is this a benign mistake or are these lines intently insidious? In the earlier parts of the Bible, the tribes of Israel go to war against Benjamin. And they are losing. They get their asses handed to them. Every time they go to the Lord, He says go, you will win. By the time they are done with Benjamin, most of the women of the tribe are dead, and there are mass casualties on both sides. They win, but at what cost. So what happens is that they have to look outside the tribe to find the tribe of Benjamin new wives, so the tribe does not die out.
In essences, although the other tribes of Israel won, they lost. Why? They asked the Lord the wrong questions? They did as they saw fit in their own eyes. The question is not if we will win. A psychic could tell you that. The question rather is are You, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob with me?
Now remember in exodus, in order for the children of Israel to win the war, they had to keep their hands lifted up. Why was that significant? Was it that they had to continually honor God, so that He would fight for them. Was it a sign of surrender to Him? Certainly anyone who bends before the Lord can stand before anyone.
But my point is this, in the emotive context of war, is there no order? Do we carry on as we see fit? In our panic, Do we get our gun licenses and stack our pistols? Do we fuck ourselves and marry spirit husbands for luck in the spirit land. Or do we fall on our knees and pray to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for His guidance?
The answer is in the Bible. Many times God set confusion amongst the enemies of Israel, and they ended up killing themselves. The traps the enemies set for me they fell in themselves.
Children, God’s children that is, do not operate in the dark. God has a kingdom, not a democracy. Nothing is free. There is order, therefore. So even in war, there is still a way to slice the goats neck. That is the difference between being kosher and non kosher.
We do not jump and shout for a miracle. We follow the manual set before us.
So, what will you do when satan and his children come against you? Will you retreat into the dark? Will you pretend to be an insurgent? Who will you be and at what cost? Certainly, every man will still have to give an account for the blood of his neighbor and the works of his hands.
